Carob Molasses

Carob molasses is a thick syrup made by soaking milled carob pods in water and reducing the extracted liquid.The majority of carob molasses is produced in the area of iqleem el kharroub, Southern Lebanon. It is traditionally used in Lebanon as a replacement to sugar, or mixed with tahini and enjoyed as the Lebanese dessert 'dibs bi tahini'.
