After finishing his studies in France in 98, Adib el Hachem took over a small farm of apples passed on to him by his father. Through the help of foundations, Adib began to improve the strains of apples and introduce different varieties to the Lebanese market. Adib also imports foreign strains of plums, Gogi berries and blackberries, in addition to producing unique types of vinegar such as cherry and berry vinegar. Adib is now focused on building hydroponic tents and testing new ways of agriculture such as planting trees in coconut shells, as a way to reduce the use of pesticides and fertilizers.
